My Place

{the Fit} Forever 21 dress (old), vintage pearls and cuff, Blonde Ambition heels

I’ve been meaning to share these photos from a shoot I did with The Urbaness a few months back. As you can tell I had my topknot bun back then (which I miss dearly), anyhow, this was a pretty fun shoot on a rather rainy day where the gals from The Urbaness shot all over in my house! They especially loved my ever-growing collection of costume jewelry. (These were just some of the pictures in the feature that I loved.)

But… right now, I am sitting in our fabulous hotel in Charing Cross drinking my new favorite cider beer in London. (hashtag hell yeah) Been taking shots like a tourist on crack, so stay tuned for pics! Hope you are all having a fab Monday.

the Fit: Myne dress, gifted Helmut Lang jacket, JustFab shoes (c/o) (in python or brown), vintage necklace, Alexander Wang bag, Target sunglasses

A few shots on the beautiful front of Lake Michigan. I don’t think I could live anywhere without a huge body of water nearby ever again. After living in San Francisco and now Chicago (where Lake Michigan sure seems like an ocean), I am drawn to the freedom I feel when looking out on the water. It’s my favorite place to decompress, dream, and gaze out to endless possibilities for the future.

Speaking of the future, this time next week I will be in London! I haven’t been back since 2007 and am so excited for 10 days of elegant pastries, 3pm tea time, a ferris wheel ride on the London Eye, and galavanting around Trafalgar Square… then I will be back to Chicago for 24 hours and off to New York Fashion Week. #whirlwind #followonInstagram at StyleontheLineCherrio!

P.S. I would love suggestions on “must-sees” in London if you have any favorite places! :)

black lace

the Fit: dress c/o TYSA (similar), iisli jacket, sandals c/o JustFab, necklace c/o t+j designs (MAJOR sale- only $16!), bag: Alexander Wang

Whoa… yes I still have a blog. Life has just been more hectic than usual lately (and that may be the biggest understatement I’ve ever made). Anyhow, is this not the hottest dress ever? It is cut perfectly to show just the right amount of leg through the lace. TYSA designs, you have created sexy, yet sophisticated and the perfect transition piece as we head into cooler weather. Hopefully everyone is having a wonderful summer… the hubby and I are headed to London in two weeks, so be sure to follow me for some exciting Insta-action (@StyleontheLine) if you don’t already.

Happy Tuesday, feels nice to be back in action on SOTL after a slight hiatus.
