Blush Tones

{the Fit} blouse c/o Target, vintage pleated skirt (amazing leather option), Rachel Roy booties, sunglasses c/o Warby Parker

As we have already chatted about, black and white is big this season. And winter whites are acceptable by all standards now, so don’t listen to Mom and Grandma about the after-Labor Day rule— bring on the snowy white look. I chose to pair this vintage pleated number with the black + white + blush sweatshirt/blouse Target sent me (yes, Target!). They have clearly been watching me and undoubtably noticed my love for pullover sweatshirts this Fall and this one is no exception. The lace-patterned front is actually a silky material which adds a feminine touch, so I chose to incorporate a more girly vibe with the skirt and booties. Notice how in some of the pics I cinched the top to show off the waistline and in others went with a more imperfect look with it untucked. Btw- how amaze is this vintage pleated skirt… I love the soft leopard print in white (only noticeable with a second glance).

All in all, I am really digging this blush tone that I’ve been seeing everywhere! Oversized fuzzy jackets, blush hats, button-up blouses… and Target has a lot of great options featuring this trend! The top I am wearing hasn’t actually hit stores yet, but will soon so check your local Tar-jey and scoop this up. Also- below the post I have chosen some similar pieces and other favorites from Target!

HAPPY HALLOWEEN! Be safe and eat as much sugar as you want :)

Eye of the Tiger

{the Fit} sweater c/o Riffraff, leather track pants from Nordstrom, shoes c/o JustFab, Urban Outfitters hat (similar one), sunglasses c/o Warby Parker, bag c/o Olivia + Joy (on sale!)How fun is this tiger sweater? I love the stiching, it almost looks like a techy-graphic print. (Serious rawr factor from Riffraff)

Throw on a wide-brim hat for Fall, sometimes it just makes the outfit complete… and totally helps with one day old flat curls!Bright handbags for Fall- I would go deep red (maybe an oxblood), dark greys, or this woven orange color. Also- top handles are a must!  (Bag c/o Olivia + Joy)

I must say, this is one of my favorite Fall outfits to date this season… plus the foiliage during Fall makes the prettiest backdrops in the city!

Fall Nail Faves

Essie’s New Encrusted Line coming out Nov 1!How amazing is this ‘encrusted look’ from Essie? So perfect for the holiday season.

I love these B+W grid line nails. I am not the best nail artist, but with a bit of practice I don’t think these lines would be too hard. Any nail connoisseurs out there? I would loves some tips…Halloween-esque, but not too jack-o-lantern looking.

Essie is definitely one of my favorite nail polish brands, they kind of came out of no where a couple years ago and took over the marketplace with their clever product names and trending shades. I’ve always wondered how they come up with the names… like is it a whole group of people bouncing around canny analogies or something? What a fun job! Anyhow, the evolution of nail art has become a fashion accessory in my eyes (you are extra cool if you’ve got a great mani going on). Plus it’s a pretty inexpensive way to pamper yourself from time to time, nothing makes you feel better than a nice mani/pedi while sitting in those amazing massage chairs and sipping a PSL from Starbucks. But take it from me- don’t have your chair on the percussion setting where its shaking you like crazy while drinking S-bucks, trying to read a magazine and forcing the poor lady to try and paint your nails at the same time. It’s just not a great idea, stick to the kneading setting on those bad boy chairs.

Here are some of my favorite Fall Nail Trends, for more inspiration check out my Pinterest board here: Happy painting!

(All nail shades in this post are available at Target)You can never go wrong with leopard print nails, any season, any combo. #extracoolaward
