One of the best parts about being a style blogger is getting to work with so many amazing brands and people. And (outside of the clothes) one of the reasons I choose to feature specific brands is because of their story…

I have been waiting to wear these bright patterned Inkkas shoes for a while and couldn’t wait any longer to feature them, so these South American babies took a stroll through the Chicago snow (and weathered quite well I should point out). The Inkkas brand has been on a great journey and is helping the less fortunate all around the world. Each pair of the shoes is made in South America by local men and women using native textiles and patterns. The company is based on local communities working together to help each other and each product line is linked to a specific charitable cause in that community. Now this is a brand I can get behind. At the bottom of this post I attached a little video if you’d like to see more!

As for my outfit, I have been craving all black everythang lately.. maybe it’s the gloomy weather. Either way, I’m kind of diggin it.

Extreme Sweater Weather

(Photo via Pinterest, Target sweater)

Guys it’s -30 degrees in Chicago today. Like unbearable. My crazy, rambunctious dog does not even want to be outside today (which has never happened!). Just about the only thing getting me through is some serious cozy sweater action, blankets, movies and unlimited amounts of hot tea. Pablo and I have been watching this show my brother got us into called “The League” on Netflix, pretty hilarious that I am contemplating joining a fantasy football league now, ha! (It’s the cold weather messing with my brain.) Anyhow back to the fashion.. when it comes to shopping sweaters I am a big advocate for having some investment sweaters in your closet, like really nice cashmere and wool, but you can never have enough sweaters/jackets in the Midewest. So my one-stop shop for comfortable and trendy sweaters at an affordable price is Target. If you guys follow me on Instagram, I am sure you have seen some as I sport them quite a bit and am acquiring quite the collection. Below are some of my faves for you to shop! Happy Monday and stay warm out there!
