black is back

Of course I had to crawl in one!

{the Fit} hat: Target | blazer: Helmut Lang (similar & cheaper version here) | top: Mara Hoffman | jeans: Levi’s | bag: Alexander Wang | shoes: Target | necklace: c/o See Song Designs

So, not that black was lost or anything… but it’s made a comeback in my wardrobe. Before the winter is over (mind you, as I type this it is blizzarding like a b*tch out there), I needed to get my all-black fix. These sneaks were a major score from Target and are insanely comfortable, I highly recommend them if you have been searching for your perfect Isabel Marant look-alikes… and there are more color options (sigh). Hope you are all having a great week and don’t forget to enter the PIMA DOLL giveaway in my last post! You won’t be disappointed! Ta-ta.

cherry red

{the Fit} dress (worn as skirt): Topshop | top: c/o CuddlDuds | coat: Zara (old, cute one here) | tights: Wolford | legwarmers: Hue | boots: Hunter boots | necklace: c/o Lydell NYC | bag: vintage Dooney & Bourke (similar one) | sunglasses: Betsey Johnson

If you haven’t heard, Hunter boots have officially taken UGG’s winter job. Don’t get me wrong, I will always be an UGG fan, but when it comes to snow and dirty slush- Hunter’s got you covered (no pun intended).

Paired these red beauties with my gold Topshop dress with an extra layer of what may be the most comfortable top I own from CuddlDuds. Hint: If you need some basic layering pieces, head there now! Amazing quality. Though I will 100% be wearing it in front of the fireplace with a good pair of sweats, I wanted to show how to put a playful spin on a more casual top. Viola!

Hope you all are stayin’ warm! Bring it on, snow!

And many more…

turning One

Wow… one whole year! I cannot believe it has been 365 days since I finally jumped off the “I’m too scared to fail” cliff and dove into the world of fashion blogging. No need for a giant speech, but I will say that this experience has taught me so much. Not just about the fashion world, the people, the personalities, but mostly about myself. As I go through all of these past posts and think about all places I’ve been, the experiences I’ve had, and the amazing people I’ve met along the way… I wouldn’t change one “sleepless, stay up until 3am to get this damn post up” moment for anything!

An enormous THANK YOU to all of my readers… none of this would be possible without you. All of your support means the world to me (and keeps me going at 3am!) and I cannot wait to continue this journey alongside such great people. Another thank you to my wonderful husband… probably my biggest supporter, I love you. And last but certainly not least, to Miss Laura Ellner of OnTheRacks.com, you helped me jump the initial hurdles a year ago and are still a constant inspiration to me! And on to year two…
